1969 Ajman & Manama
Official Postage Stamps



In 1969, Ajman & Manama made baseball card collector's happy with their official government issued baseball "Champions of Sports" stamps with 6 of the greatest stars ever: Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Ty Cobb, Stan Musial, Honus Wagner & George Sisler. Topps Vault & Proofs


Auctioneer Guernsey's went thru Topps offices gathering over 3,000 items for the auction. Topps spokesman reported auction sales of OVER $1.5 million !!! Additional sales were made from a mail-only auction. Collector Keith Olbermann, at the auction, described it as an archaeological dig.

Topps archive material continued to accumulate after the auction ending up with another treasure of over 250,000 transparencies, uncut sheets, color separations, art, photos, slides, proof sheets & wrappers, canceled checks, contracts and one-of-a-kind items to sell.

1968 Baseball Marbles

1968 Baseball Marble These 'Marbles' were issued in 'blister packs' of 20 marbles. The 'Marble' was a ¾”-diameter clear plastic orb containing a paper insert with the player's portrait on the front a facsimile autograph on the back.
The blister packs themselves are collectible. They measure 9-3/4” x 10-1/2”, with the marbles positioned on front; the pack’s back features a baseball design awash in approximately 60 player's facsimile signatures. 1968 Baseball Marbles The package mentions 24 series of 20 marbles per but only 120 different marbles were created.
