Barry Sanders, the Detroit Lions great Hall-of-Fame running back,
had a remarkable NFL career.
From 1989 to 1998, Sanders often left defenders grasping at air,
turning losses into spectacular gains. While playing for the weak
Lions, Sanders still became the 1997 NFL MVP and retired with 15,269
rushing yards. He retired abruptly while still at the peak of his
career. None the less, he was one of the most electrifying players
in NFL history.
