1933 Goudey Baseball Cards Checklist & Values
1933 Goudey baseball cards were issued during the worst part of
The Great Depression. The set ended up at 240 cards (239 printed
in 1933 and one in 1934). In an effort to attract collectors,
several of the games top players were honored with multiple cards
including "The Great Bambino" who appeared on 4 different cards.
The Babe was once asked why he made more than the President of the
United States, the Babe answered simply: "I had a better year than he did."
The Elusive Nap Lajoie
One of the most important facts regarding the 1933 Goudey set was their
infamous marketing ploy. Goudey took "marketing" to a whole new level
to keep people buying packs by never issuing card #106. Collectors wrote
the Goudey Card Company complaining. They were rewarded with Goudey
sending them the un-issued card #106 (Nap Lajoie) in 1934.

1955 Topps Double-Headers (Doubleheaders) Baseball Cards Set checklist/info
Without a doubt my FAVORITE SET - PERIOD. Regular issue, test issues,
inserts ... whatever ... this is # 1 !!!
Similar to the early 1900's Mecca Double Folders, these colorful
2-1/16" x 4-7/8" cards are actually 2-cards-in-1 !
Perforated in the center, you can fold to create cards of 2
different players. Unperforated 1955 Topps DoubleHeaders exist.
All 132 players (66 cards) in the 1955 Topps DoubleHeaders set were also in
the regular 1955 Topps set, with the same action image.
NOTE: Laid side-by-side the cards form spectacular scenes
from actual stadiums !!!
Old-timers - can you identify the stadiums ?
ROOKIES:
Harmon Killebrew, Hal Newhouser
STARS:
Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Jackie Robinson ...
The Best !!!

1993 Topps Inaugural Colorado Rockies Set
In 1993 Topps produced a limited number of special factory sets to honor the
Colorado Rockies first season. A special gold foil Rockies logo was added
to each card.
The initial print run of 5,000 ran out quickly so the Rockies had 5,000 more
sets made. Cards were only available as factory sets so singles and team sets
are a bit tougher to find.
