"Mr Padre" Tony Gwynn (deceased 2014), played right field for 20 seasons (1982–2001) for the
San Diego Padres. The left-handed hitting Gwynn won 8 batting titles, tied for 2nd most in
MLB history. He is considered one of the best and most consistent hitters in baseball history.
A 15-time All-Star, he was recognized for his skills both on offense & defense winning 7 Silver
Slugger Awards & 5 Gold Gloves. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall-of-Fame in 2007, his 1st
year of eligibility.
The bats come with a Certificate of Authenticity from C.J.'s of San Diego under an exclusive
arrangement with Gwynn Sports (run by Tony's wife Alicia) on these bats and other Tony Gwynn
autographed memorabilia.
